John Ferguson has been performing Irish music throughout Northeast Ohio for more than thirty years. He is the area's preeminent Shanachie, or Irish Storyteller. With a twinkle in his eye, Fergie is known to climb off the stage and wander around in the audience, shaking hands and making friends as he weaves his tales of loves lost and found, of sailors and mermaids, and of wakes and weddings. An entertainer of the highest order, John makes every venue - from small pubs to festival stages - seem as intimate and friendly and your neighbor's kitchen table. His unique style and interactive performances have long made him a crowd favorite.
Michael Gaffney plays the 6- and 12-string guitar and adds his unique voice to a variety of classic Irish tunes. Bruce Sampsel is a doctor by day and a piano virtuoso by night. A classically- trained musician, his nimble fingers and harmony vocals provide a unique twist to Bog Dog versions of well-known songs.
His son, Damon Ferguson plays bass, mandolin, banjo and guitar in the band, but he's a versatile musician who is more than proficient with just about any instrument you put in his hands.
